The code says any outlet. That condenser is not plugged into an outlet.

    Micheal, I think you are thinking receptacle. A receptacle is one type of outlet. An outlet is defined as “A point on the wiring system at which current is taken to supply utilization equipment”. So it could be a receptacle, or a junction box or a light etc.
